After two-plus decades in downtown Cleveland, SHAHEEN has relocated, and we are delighted to announce the opening of our new gallery at the Ohio Design Center at 23533 Mercantile Rd. in Beachwood. In our previous location, SHAHEEN mounted exhibitions ranging from a museum caliber retrospective of prints by Roy Lichtenstein, to solo exhibitions of new work by prominent early and mid-career artists Dana Schutz, Tara Donovan, Michelle Grabner, Daniel Hesidence and Keith Mayerson, among others. While the exhibition program at our new gallery space will revolve around installations of paintings, drawings and prints from gallery inventory, we will continue to represent and collaborate with longtime gallery artists including TR Ericsson, Mark Fox, Corrie Slawson, Craig Kucia, Neil Macdonald, Klaus Mosettig and Charlie Kanwischer. Entitled "Paper Trail Pt. 1", our inaugural exhibition is the long overdue, nonsequential sequel to "Paper Trail Pt. 2", an exhibition that we mounted in our former gallery space in 2000, which featured unique works on paper by ten young artists, including Yoshitomo Nara, Chris Ofili, Jesse Bransford, Marcel Dzama and Erik Parker. "Paper Trail Pt. 1" will feature prints by Richard Serra, Raymond Pettibon, Toba Khedoori, Robert Rauschenberg, Alex Katz, Vija Celmins, Frank Stella, Jean Dubuffet, Ed Ruscha, Ellsworth Kelly and others.
