SHAHEEN Modern and Contemporary Art is delighted to announce an exhibition of recent collages by Miami-based artist TJ Ahearn. This will be Ahearn’s first one person gallery exhibition in the Midwest.
TJ Ahearn’s vibrant, visually profuse collages juxtapose and layer a wild array of imagery culled from popular magazines. Through her unique sensibility the artist re-arranges fragments of banality into rich, densely layered visions. Ahearn studied at New York's School of Visual Arts and the University of Miami. Over the past few years, her work has appeared in numerous exhibitions in the U.S and Europe.
